AMD is presented first in this year's official version of Catalyst driver numbered 10.7 for the month of July. It is designed for video card series Radeon HD, since 2000, as well as integrated solutions. Due to the withdrawal of support products previous rulers 9200/9250 and below have to be content with the old version numbered 6.5 (or 6.11 for cards on chips R300 and below), and for the Radeon series graphics cards and other suitable X/9500/9600/9600 March release 9.3.
Major changes:
- Improved work with windows when connecting multiple screens;
- Improved algorithm for determining Pull-down. Improve the quality when playing video content. Supported on graphics cards series ATI Radeon HD 5000;
- Added support for ATI CrossFireX mode for rotary screens. Now in CrossFireX mode, you can change the orientation of the screen (or screens) with landscape in a portrait, using all the advantages of simultaneous multi-GPU;
- Added hardware accelerated video in media player VLC 1.1.1. For player VLC version 1.1.1 and above - - Added hardware accelerated video, encoded with a codec H.264. Supported on graphics cards series ATI Radeon HD 4000 and 5000.
Improvements in performance:
Borderlands:
- Productivity increased by 3-5% with the included antialisingom and anisotropic filtering for video card series ATI Radeon HD 5700 and 5800 in CrossFire mode, and without it;
- Productivity increased by 3-8% with the included antialisingom and anisotropic filtering on the video card ATI Radeon HD 5970 in CrossFire mode, and without it;
- Productivity increased by 2-6% with the included antialisingom and anisotropic filtering for video card series ATI Radeon HD 5500 and 5600;
